Decaf Peru No. 10 is a Swiss Water decaffeinated single-origin coffee from the JUMARP cooperative ("El Palto") in the Amazonian Andes of northern Peru, grown at 1,600 to 1,800 meters (5,250 to 5,900 feet) and roasted to order at a medium roast level.

  • Origin: Peru, Amazonian Andes (northern Peru). Asociacion de Productores Cafetaleros Juan Marco El Palto (JUMARP), founded in 2003 by 35 farmers and now 189 members, 40 of them women, farming roughly 550 hectares (1,360 acres).
  • Elevation: 1,600 to 1,800 meters (5,250 to 5,900 feet) above sea level
  • Process: Washed
  • Varietals: Typica, Castillo, Bourbon, Catimor
  • Roast level: Medium
  • Cupping notes: Caramel, raspberry, chocolate, walnut, and earthy. Smooth and full-bodied with a complex finish.

Farm Story

Situated in the northern Peruvian region of the Amazonian Andes, this cooperative was established in 2003 by a modest group of 35 farmers. Recognized as the Asociacion de Productores Cafetaleros Juan Marco El Palto (JUMARP), it is commonly referred to as "El Palto." Among its 189 members, 40 are women, contributing to the cultivation of approximately 550 hectares of organic and Fair Trade Certified coffee. Both male and female members are represented on the El Palto Cooperative Board of Directors, which is dedicated to enhancing specialty coffee production and profitability to uplift the income of each member's family.

Doesn't smell fresh and didn't have any flavor behind the bitterness. Not a fan.

Hi wendy. Sorry that this Peru No.10 want not for you. Please send us a message and we will try to see if we have a roast that might meet your liking. As for freshness, all of our coffee is roasted after the customer orders and is extremely fresh.

Best tasting coffee I’ve ever had! Coffee has typically been just the means by which I get the latte part into my mouth. Not now - I can actually drink this black and it’s good! Smooth, great flavor and no bitterness.

I've finally found a decaf worth drinking!!!

This is the 2nd pro-choice coffee company I've tried. The last place was ok but I decided to try looking for better coffee. I will not be searching further. This is it!!! It's so good I had to add a decaf so I can drink it at night too! Thanks for donating 15%. It's very generous. Other places only donate 10% and your coffee is a better product.
